Extraction
Of Canines- Canines are not frequently extracted as a part of orthodontic
treatment. The extraction of canines is
said to cause flattening of face, altered facial balance and change in facial
expression. In addition the contact
produced between the premolars and latera: incisor is rarely satisfactory. Discussion-
Why Not (D)- Although Maxillary incisors are also rarely extracted but still
not the answer here. The reason being
that the canine's extraction have much more consequences than the incisors
extraction alone. Also nowaday it
is a common practice in which the canines are being modified to shape 01
lateral and contact between the ce 'al
and modified canine is quite satisfactory.
